sweet long dream

Suddenly there was a weird impulse telling me to buy a ticket to go to Southern America.
So there I went. Having no idea where was I heading, Brazil,
Argentina of Chile.
My trip began.

Sunny, warm air, clear vision, I was already there.
The first impression came in my mind is......
The world seemed turned up side down.
I saw the shore and my experience told me that's north but indeed south.
I had come to the world where people put the
southern hemisphere on the top of a map.

On way way to the shore, gradually it got bustling.
And things are covered in yellow. Yellow house, yellow road.
That's probably because of the mud streets.

In a mountain I Leaning on the railing overlooked the near ocean. Next to me was an Spanish restaurant. I went in for a phone call. The hostess was very generous and treated me to a glass of orange juice. However no one picked up the phone back in the States.
No one knew I was in Southern America, they must thought I was somehow disappeared.

Out of the restaurant, suddenly there was a girl talk to me in Chinese, obviously she is from Taiwan. (pretty well she got a camera) I forgot to bring mine, it a nice chance to borrow it from her.

By the railings she kept making tons of different subjects in talk with me, seemed never want to stop. While the moment I didn't beware , she surprisingly came toward me and kissed. I stepped aside after she did that, being afraid of what will she do next, left the mountain and decided to roam on the beach alone until the sunset.

Still alone, I bought the ticket flying back to Seattle. No souvenir, on beautiful photos with me, just like a normal day sitting in the library studying, and came home as usual.

In dream like this. I can lie in bed and go all over the world XD

what the fog

These days the fog made this city a real steam box.
It was like riding on clouds on my way to school.

Several times I braked but the car looked like was sliding under a red light.
(that's how the around floating fog made my illusion)
The visibility is like......
Standing on the Liberty Island without seeing the Statue of Liberty.
Walking a dog but seeing in the end of chain it is buried in clouds.

I had the kind of feeling that my dear Lord tried to keep me from flying.
But why!?

Night airport

Night airport is gorgeous.
Blue taxiway lights, white and green beacon rotating on the tower.

Fog is not airman's favorite. Tonight the fog covered all over Paine field, made the ray of lights all revealed. Under the hazy sky, my illusion told my I am drifting on a shoreless ocean.

In the middle of ground school there was a dog of pilot rush into the classroom. He went on my legs, sent me the tightest hug since I left Taiwan.

Favorite songs in 2008

Through this review I found I didn't listen much Rock'n Roll actually, only to listen a lot of soundtracks. It's all because the melody combined with story is much easier to imprint in my mind.

10 Favorite movies in 2008

A lot of media ranked movies last year in a variety of ways, and I'd like to make a top 10 movie list in my own opinion. However I am not nominating the movies that are released last year, but those I watched last year. That's why most of them don't seem new.

It's quite fun, I decide to do this every year

#10

[2003] Talk to Her

It tells about love and loneliness in a sentimental way. In this film I saw "The furthest distance in the world". What is there existing deeply in a person's body? Even while the beloved can do nothing for you ever but breath. She is still talk to you so loud with her greatest effort.

favorite scene:
The man recalled his old love while
Caetano Veloso singing Cucurrucucu Paloma.

#9

[2002] Undercover Brother

I discovered it in Comedy Central. A film making fun of the difference between black and white culture. There are lots of classic black songs. Even James Brown, the Father of Soul, is making fun of himself. Oh this film really get me. I was so entertained after the movie.

favorite scene:
Everybody envies Undercover Brother while it is discovered he had sex with the white chick.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFn1SZj59x8

#8

[1968] 2001: A Space Odyssey

Finally I watched the very classic film. It's not only an tremendous breakthrough in movie techniques, but has successfully "explained" and "predicted" human civilization. I seriously believe the writer and director have their own time machine helping them shot this movie. But they chose not to show the audience the whole idea of Space Odyssey. Trickily urge
d all my imagination.

favorite scene: Apes throwing bones.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU4TQ1NTo50

#7

[2007] Juno

The story of the teenage little Mom, and tells such a serious happening in a humor way. I like the goodness of every character in it. I can feel that they really enjoy being themselves. Additionally, the background guitar sound makes the world looks even more beautiful in Juno.

I found it actually quite comply Christian doctrines after I committed to Jesus. Such like anti-abortion plot, save the virgin for the one you love. I guess it's trying to please Christians in the States.

favorite scene:
The anxiety looking on that young wife during the waiting of little baby.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuN0Z65sp5c

#6

[2007] Live Free or Die Hard

Another movie shocked the audience with
overwhelming special effects and reached the peak of entertainment. It's really amazing Bruce can still do this kind of job in his age. In my opinion, he is the coolest bald man ever. Action movie like Die Hard really inspires to work out more. To build more muscle so I can beat a fight jet like John McClane does.

favorite scene: The way he crushed the chopper.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EUJYh32KVw

#5

[2008] The Dark Knight

The one which has been praised by almost everybody this year. It's true TDK represents a new image of comics hero and put the villain into a unbelievably high status. But while I watched it the other day it felt like underlining too much Joker's philosophy that bored me. Anyhow I love the casting of this movie. The fall of such excellent actor is a great great loss for the world.

favorite scene: Every scenes with Joker
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GROmJWb-3wU

#4

[2006] Click

I felt in love with the songs Linger & You get what you give because of "Click". I even felt in love with Kate Beckinsale whom I quite don't like the The Pearl Harbor. This movie touched me more than most feature movies though it's actually a comedy. However I couldn't remember why was I so touched. Maybe it's the background music and atmosphere in the movie.

favorite scene: Adam looks great in the old man make up.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uat0wODumU

#3

[1988] Le Grand Bleu

It's probably because of my affection toward the ocean.
And probably I count it as extraordinary romance while a guy can desperate for something he desires. Thanks to the role of the girl, the plot is full of attraction. The way she gives up everything for the love make it more cruel since the boy wants nothing but complete his dream. It's ironic but real. People always love those who doesn't love you while these who love you are not whom you love.(This phrase read so awkward in my translation)

favorite scene:
The boy and Jean Reno are so drunk and compete each other in the swimming pool
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQQ_HtyH-KA

#2

[2008] Wall-E

Surprisingly it is two robots that are created by attract all of my attention. Wall-E & Eve, the mooooooooost lovely screen couple in 2008. They are so naive like children and have no ugly human nature. They have faith in love and can spare no effort to guard their love. How is this possible for human beings?

The scene they dance in space is most fantastic and should has it's own place in movie history. What's more, I really hope those Americans who made this film can figure out how much resource they have wasted on this planet so the idea of this movie can grow in people's mind.

favorite scene: Dance in the space
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e16U8UsT4I

#1

[2008] Orz Boys

Obviously it's all because of now I miss Taiwan so much. Orz Boys gave me the warm in summer, that's my favorite part of Taiwan island. It reminded me the girl sat next to me in my elementray school, I had a crush on her.
It reminded me the time which I could become seriously emotional because of a small toy. The abandoned basement I took adventure in school. This is irreplaceable. I thought it can never be reminded again until Orz Boys catch me up in the time tunnel. I am speechless with the 囧 look in my face.

favorite scene:
#1 and #2 meet in the end in the water theme park.
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwn8T2VFTBY&feature=related

Still I haven't got a chance to watch most movies released in 2008. Surely there are piles of good movies I don't know about. Always I take watching a movie as treasure hunting. Sometimes I dig a piece of crap when others I can dig gold. So if you know where the gold is. Please please tell me about it.

Farewell two thousand and eight

There a lot of things worth to be mentioned last year.

In January I went Mainland China with the Chinese Elites group.
Then I switched back to single life.

My medical exam was passed.
Thank God, he gave me a body that can fly
Then I was kicked out by school,
successfully upgrade the level from student nerd to unemployed nerd.

Last year my brother came back Taiwan,
he stacked the house with his diabolos.
Last year I found surfing is actually my love in this life.
I rode the bike around the island in summer,
and I was astounded by the beauty of where I grow up.

And the oil price skyrocketed during financial crisis,
airlines companies shut their recruiting. I was badly hopeless.
So I came to the United states again kept fighting for my pilot licenses.

Last year in Taipei I commit myself to Jesus. Baptized in Seattle
Last year I did some things I'd like to keep them in secret.

Last year there was some foreshadowing,
which is going to interest my year 2009.
